In 2018 the citizens of Springdale approved a bond program and paved the
way for the new 125,000 square foot Springdale Criminal Justice Complex.
In addition to the new building that the police department, city attorney and
district court will call home the city will also renovate the current city hall to
match the aesthetics of the new building and create suitable space for their
needs.
The project comes at a cost of $38.4 million and phase 1 is scheduled to be
completed in 2020. The second phase, the renovation of city hall itself, is
scheduled to take an additional 6 months to a year depending on a few
variables. The city has hired Milestone Construction, a Springdale based
company, to oversee and complete this important new piece of Downtown
Springdale. The facility brings all city government and police function under
one roof and creates a greater level of convenience for those in need of
accessing city services.
