Tis the season to find your way to Downtown Springdale tomorrow for an
array of special Christmas events as the season bursts onto the scene just
a few hours after the turkey is done digesting and all the stuffing and pie has
been put away. Get down to Emma Avenue and experience all the splendor
of the season with shopping specials, coordinated events, food and drink
and the annual parade.
Christmas on the Creek has a variety of things to offer starting at 1 and
running through 6 o'clock in the evening. There is a Hot Cocoa Crawl, which
has been such a tremendous success that all the mugs have sold out. We
will also be lighting the region's largest live Christmas Tree and Santa
Claus will be taking photos with all comers in the cabin at the Shiloh
Museum. There will be a Handmade Winter Market as well as a variety of
other family activities available throughout the day.
Last, but certainly not least, the Christmas Parade of the Ozarks kicks off at
6:00 from Parsons Stadium celebrated its 2019 theme, "Christmas
Vacation". The parade will have floats of all kinds and is free to the public. It
will travel West down Emma and is always a magical time for the children in
our community.
Emma Avenue will have all kids of holiday specials and wonderful inventory.
Stop by Whimsy Whoo Downtown, Lost and Found, Sire, The Avenue and
Della DeVille's to do some holiday shopping. Grab a bite to eat at
Sammich Love, Mr. Taco Loco, Mothership, Spring Street Grill or one of the
other eateries in the Downtown District. Lastly, close out your night with a
drink at Black Apple Crossing, Emma Avenue Bar and Tap or stop by and
see Jeffro at The Odd Soul. Wherever you choose to visit get to know them,
build community and get out there and Live Springdale!
