Live Springdale | New Spending Bill Raises
Legal Smoking Age to 21
It is now illegal for anyone under the age of 21 years of age to
purchase any tobacco product. This includes cigarettes, cigars, dip,
chew, e-cigarettes or other vaping tools. The law took effect as an add
on provision to a $1.4 trillion spending agreement. It was a largely
bipartisan piece of legislation and seen as a measure to help curb the
use of e-cigarettes among teens which as been widely noted to be on
the rise.
