Live Springdale | New Spending Bill Raises Legal Smoking Age to 21
It is now illegal for anyone under the age of 21 years of age to purchase any tobacco product. This includes cigarettes, cigars, dip, chew, e-cigarettes or other vaping tools. The law took effect as an add on provision to a $1.4 trillion spending agreement. It was a largely bipartisan piece of legislation and seen as a measure to help curb the use of e-cigarettes among teens which as been widely noted to be on the rise.
