Happy New Year from Live Springdale,
A Short 2019 Recap
This year has seen some exciting things happen in Springdale. We've
seen new development all over town from both the public and private
sector. Many of the bond projects approved by our voters have been
under construction and will come to fruition in 2020 to include the Gene
George North/South Corridor and the new Criminal Justice Complex
and City Hall Downtown.
Downtown itself has seen many new exciting announcements like the
development of the old San Jose building property which will be mixed
use residential and retail and include a new venue called The Hangout
by Ropeswing. Further to the East we will see new residential
apartments on Emma and more mixed-use development when the old
Layman's building and Archer Learning Center used to be. An effort is
underway to give Luther George Park a facelift and add a concert
venue and many new amenities Downtown.
On the West side of town in the Overlay District we should see
exponential growth as well. The new development The Trails at the
Crossings is under way and should serve as an excellent housing
option for those attending the new NWACC Washington County
Campus. In addition, just to the West of that project is going to be a
high-end housing development on George Road. To the South the new
Highlands Oncology Regional facility is well under way and the new
Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield Building should begin in 2020.
All these new venues will be served well by the Gene George project.
We hope 2019 has been an excellent year and we look forward to
bringing you all the news and latest happenings in Springdale in 2020.
