The city of Springdale has seen many great football games over the
years...Friday night the Shiloh Christian Saints put on a performance
that will be remembered for a long time on Johnson Road.
Shiloh, ranked #1 in Class 4A, welcomed #2 ranked Stuttgart to
Champions Stadium for what was supposed to be a four quarter
slugfest between two of the best programs in the state. What unfolded
instead was a blowout from the first possession of the game to the last,
resulting in a final score of 56-7.
Shiloh Christian senior Kaden Henley blocked the first two Stuttgart
punts and sophomore Noah DeJarnatt returned the second one for a
touchdown to make the game 14-0 in a hurry.
Senior Cam Wiedemann rushed for four touchdowns on the night and
broke the 1,000 yard rushing mark for the season.
In addition to the special teams setting up multiple scoring plays, the
defense got in on the action as well. Senior Braden Tutt returned a strip
sack 63 yards for a touchdown to make the score 56-0 at halftime.
The Shiloh Christian offense totaled 220 yards and six touchdowns in
the first half. The starters did not play on either side of the ball for the
entire second half.
Shiloh Christian will now make their second consecutive trip to War
Memorial Stadium for the class 4A State Championship game where
they will face the undefeated Rivrcrest Colts. Shiloh will be the home
team on December 19th and kickoff is set for 12:10pm.
