Food insecurity is something that is a daily problem for some, but the
issue has come to the forefront in a time where pandemic has
displaced or left unemployed so many in our community. This
Saturday, May 9th, the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank will be hosting a
Food Distribution Day at Arvest Ballpark from 8am to Noon, while
supplies last.
This event was made possible through a partnership with Tyson
Foods, Hiland Dairy and Harris Baking Company. In addition, Crystal
Bridges will also be on hand giving away art packets and Proctor &
Gamble will be there giving away products as well.
In order to maintain social distancing efforts all participants are asked
to remain in their vehicles at all times as items will be placed in the
trunk or bed of a truck by staff on hand. In order to accommodate
those who may not have transportation we will serve up to 2 families
per vehicle.
There will be one entrance and one exit -so please be sure to follow
the signs posted. All other entrances will be blocked. They invite
anyone who is in need of food on a first come, first serve basis. Thank
you in advance for making this event safe for everyone!
